Synopsis

The 2024 Lund University Conference on Teaching and Learning, hosted by MedCUL and the Division for Higher Education Development (AHU), took place in the newly inaugurated Forum Medicum – an environment purposefully designed to inspire connection, collaboration, and exchange. The venue’s open architecture mirrored the conference theme, Connecting teachers – changing from within, underscoring the relationship between space, dialogue, and pedagogical development work. With nearly 280 participants, this was the largest edition of the biannual conference to date. New initiatives, such as pre-conference workshops and active student participation, contributed to a dynamic and inclusive atmosphere. The contributions collected in these proceedings demonstrate the diversity and depth of ongoing pedagogical development across the university. They explore ways in which higher education can be continuously reimagined through collaboration, reflective practice, and responsiveness to societal and technological change. Together, the conference and its contributions testify to a vibrant and evolving academic community committed to advancing teaching and learning within and across disciplines.
